Catherine Orton is a freelance soprano and a teacher of the piano as well as voice. She has studied under the American soprano, Nancy Matthis, international soprano, Alison Pearce and English mezzo-soprano, Margaret Cable.
Catherine most frequently performs sacred music and recital pieces, regularly joining forces with the Chiltern Hundreds Bach Choir and the Chorleywood Chamber Orchestra amongst others.
Her singing has taken her across England and into Italy, France and Poland. She has sung for Her Majesty the Queen and sings regularly at St Mary Abbot’s in Kensington.
Catherine also provides after dinner entertainment for charity functions and is involved in charity fundraising concerts whenever possible.
